In Pennsylvania, cases come from beer distributors and six-packs from licensed grocery and convenience stores. In Maryland, look in liquor stores. In West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina and Florida, grocery and convenience stores carry it. In DC, try grocery and liquor stores. Bars pour draft in all of them. Aroma
First impressions are of cinnamon and allspice, combined with fruity banana esters and hints of clove from the Belgian yeast.
Appearance
Deep black with a dark brown, foamy head.
Taste
Intense cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice with banana esters dominate up front. Hints of citrus arrive midpalate, while molasses notes persevere in the finish along with a very nice dark-roasted malt dryness.
