A group of old friends started Waverly in 2014 with a 5-barrel system, and brewer Roy Fisher Jr. has made the beer from the start. Mel Yukna and Fisher run it today. The taproom is a small blue shed at Clipper Mill Road and Union Ave by the Jones Falls, a block from the Woodberry light rail stop. It has a mug club and hosts music, costume nights and neighborhood events, and it posts its hours on Instagram.
