Springfield Manor Winery, Distillery & Brewery

A 130-acre estate along Route 15 south of Thurmont, at the foot of the Catoctin Mountains, with a manor house built in 1774. The restored bank barn holds tasting rooms for the winery, the distillery (licensed in 2011) and a 7-barrel brewhouse that keeps about 11 beers on tap, from light lager and kolsch to hazy and West Coast IPAs. The farm also grows lavender and hosts the Maryland Lavender Festival each June. The tasting room is open Friday evenings and weekend afternoons from March through December, for guests 21 and older, with food trucks and live music.
