Silver Branch Brewing Co.

Christian Layke and Brett Robison opened Silver Branch in downtown Silver Spring in March 2019, right next to the Red Line Metro station. The beer draws on Belgian, British, Irish, Central European and American traditions, with Czech-style lagers like Glass Castle at the core. The Silver Spring spot, now called the Lagerhaus & Biergarten, has a full kitchen and a dog-friendly biergarten. Silver Branch opened Rockville Beerworks in the old True Respite building in Derwood in May 2025, also runs Warrenton Station in Virginia, and has signed a lease for a brewery and taproom in Wheaton aimed at 2027.
