Screech Owl Brewing

Roger and Crista Johnson started Screech Owl in 2015 in a garage on their farm in the hills of Preston County, after Roger retired from 21 years of driving a truck. It grew into a 3.5 barrel brewhouse with the Spent Grain Cafe built onto the brewery, which bakes bread from the leftover brewing grain and serves scratch made meals. Crista is the majority owner, Roger is the master brewer and daughter-in-law Kristin Johnson is head brewer. The taproom and cafe are only open Friday and Saturday. Bold Blonde Ale is the best seller.
