Recon Brewing

Butler, PA · since 2016

Recon Brewing started in Butler in 2016 and opened its first taproom there in 2017. It was founded by three friends who met through the Butler Township fire service and is named for the Bantam Reconnaissance Car, the first Jeep prototype, built in Butler. Taprooms followed in Cranberry (2021) and South Fayette (2022), plus one in Hastings, and the Butler and Cranberry taprooms serve food. New owners joined in 2025.
