Ragged Island Brewing started in 2016 as a few friends who liked craft beer and the outdoors. It opened as a 1 barrel brewery in 2017 and moved in 2026 to a 37 acre farm in Portsmouth, where a renovated barn holds a 10 barrel brewhouse. The 1890s farmhouse taproom has outdoor decks, a greenhouse and views of Narragansett Bay, with concerts and food trucks through the year.
