Port City Brewing was founded in February 2011 by Bill and Karen Butcher and calls itself the longest operating brewery in metropolitan Washington, D.C. The tasting room sits in Alexandria, about 2.5 miles west of Old Town, with indoor seating, an outdoor beer garden and tours on weekends. La Tingeria runs a Mexican kitchen on site, and the brewery also hosts events such as comedy nights.
