Point Ybel Brewing Company was started in 2013 and is named after the east end of Sanibel Island, where its lighthouse stands. The head brewer and co-owner, Jordan Weisberg, is known for East Coast style IPAs, German styles, lagers and sours. The brewery has won statewide medals, and the tasting room on San Carlos Boulevard has live music and weekly events. A second taproom in downtown Fort Myers is planned.
