Pittsburgh Brewing Company

The maker of Iron City, Pittsburgh's hometown beer since 1861. After the old Lawrenceville brewery closed in 2009 the beer was contract brewed in Latrobe for more than a decade. In 2022 the company opened its own brewery in a former PPG glass plant in Creighton, about 20 miles up the Allegheny from downtown, with a taproom and store on site. A small downtown taproom opened in the Alcoa Building in 2026. Block House is the brewery's craft label.
