Montauk Brewing Co started in 2012 as a basement operation among friends and now brews on South Erie Avenue in Montauk, where the red Brew Barn taproom sits near the surf. The brewery also runs a second taproom, Downport, in Port Jefferson. Its beers are mostly sold on draft and in 12 ounce cans, and the lineup runs from year-round IPAs and a pilsner to seasonal ales and non-alcoholic beers.
