Greenbrier Valley Brewing Co
Maxwelton, WV · since 2014
Greenbrier Valley Brewing started in 2014 and became one of the bigger brewers in West Virginia, known for cans with state legends like Mothman and Devil Anse Hatfield on the label. It closed in March 2023, and Josh Bennett, who founded Hawk Knob Appalachian Hard Cider, bought it that July, rehired the crew and had it brewing again by late summer. The beer hall style taproom sits next to Greenbrier Valley Airport a few minutes from Lewisburg, with a dozen or so drafts, a local food menu, Hawk Knob ciders, live music and trivia. Devil Anse IPA is the flagship.
