Four Peaks opened its brewpub in 1996 in a century-old creamery and ice factory on 8th Street in Tempe, and Kilt Lifter, a Scottish-style ale, is the flagship. Anheuser-Busch agreed to buy the brewery in December 2015 and owns it today. Most of the beer is brewed in Tempe, at the original brewery and at a second brewery on Wilson Street that is open only for special events. The 8th Street Pub serves the full lineup and has brewery tours, and there is a second pub at Sky Harbor Airport.
