Founders Brewing Co

Grand Rapids, MI · since 1997

Founders started in Grand Rapids in 1997 and nearly closed before its bigger, bolder beers took off. All Day IPA turned it into one of the largest craft brewers in the country. The taproom on Cesar E. Chavez Avenue is still home base. Founders is owned by Mahou San Miguel of Spain, which bought the last of the shares in 2025.
