Climax Brewing Company started in Roselle Park in 1996 and calls itself the oldest micro brewery in New Jersey. The brewery is on Valley Road and runs tours and tastings on Friday evenings. Dave Hoffmann brews, and his father Kurt Hoffmann owns the building. The beers are self-distributed, so kegs and quarter kegs go to bars, restaurants and liquor stores in New Jersey.
