Rich and Sarah Mak opened B.C. Brewery on April 14, 2018 on Gilroy Road in Hunt Valley, across the street from the Gilroy Road light rail stop. It was the first brewery in Maryland with self-serve beer walls, where you pour your own and pay by the ounce. Everything is brewed on site in small batches, and a second 7-barrel brewhouse makes only gluten free beer, sold as the CEAL Team line. Head brewer Jim Wagner has brewed professionally since 1999. There is a full kitchen, trivia on Tuesdays, live music, darts and cornhole, and event space for up to 300 people.
