Battery Island Brewing Company

A small veteran-owned brewery in a 200-year-old building in downtown Havre de Grace. Owner Kyle Hurst, an active duty Army officer and West Point graduate, learned to brew on a friend's equipment, and runs the place with Navy veteran Rick Colbert and Tracey Colbert. About a dozen taps mix modern hazy IPAs with traditional and historical styles. There is no kitchen, so bring food or order from La Cucina, Rio's Grill or 410 Empanadas close by.
