Antietam Brewery grew out of Benny's Pub on Eastern Boulevard, where the owners started brewing their own beer for the pub crowd, and it bills itself as Hagerstown's first craft brewery. The brewery and taproom now sit on Western Maryland Parkway near Valley Mall, with a patio, tours by request and room for private parties. Bill Skomski is the owner. The tap list keeps long running house beers like Generals Golden Ale, Little Mac IPA and 1605 Red next to seasonal lagers and fruited sours, and there is live music most weekends.
