1812 Brewery

A family farm brewery outside Cumberland in a barn built in 1812. It opened in 2017 as the first farm brewery in Allegany County, and the family grows its own hops on the farm. Head brewer Casey earned a master brewer certification in Munich, and the lineup leans on German and Czech style lagers made with Maryland barley from Bear Branch Malt, next to hazy IPAs and fruited sours. Food trucks, a playground, an outdoor stage and a big patio make it a family stop, and RV travelers can stay overnight through Harvest Hosts.
