1623 Brewing Company

Mike McKelvin started 1623 Brewing in Eldersburg with his wife Sandy and daughters Cameron and Jordan, and the first batch was brewed in September 2018. The name is the 1,623 miles between Mike and his cousin Zac Rissmiller, a Colorado brewer who wrote the first recipes. The taproom has a full kitchen run with Liberatore's, cocktails and wine, weekend live music and a happy hour Tuesday to Friday. It is the largest brewing operation in Carroll County, and the core beers are sold in six-packs around Maryland.
